Salt Lake County 4-H Community Clubs – Offered to youth 6th through 9th grades to gather in a fun and safe environment where they can make friends, develop life and leadership skills, create 4-H projects and have fun! Clubs meet twice a month at four different locations. Club Members work on a variety of projects introducing participants to the many different opportunities 4-H offers. 4-H Robotics Club – Offered to youth, 3rd through 12th grades. If you love robots, computers, or how things work, you'll love this club. Members explore teamwork, collaboration, and leadership while learning to appreciate science and technology. Youth learn to build structurally sound Lego Robots as well as how to program these robots. Club members are responsible for purchasing their own NXT Legomindstorm Robotics kit ($250). 4-H Archery Club – Offered to youth, 3rd through 12th grades; Hunter Education Certification required. Youth can have a lot of fun learning the art of archery. A county contest is held in the late spring with qualifying senior 4-H members advancing to the State 4-H Contests in July. Club meets every Thursday from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. at Sugarhouse Archery. Photography Club – Offered to youth, 3rd through 12th grades. Interested members will discover the world of photography. Youth will focus on equipment basics, taking sharper pictures, the concepts of lighting and flash, and photo composition. Members must provide their own camera.
