Aggie Adventures Summer Schedule

Camp Schedule for 2013 Summer Season:

*All camps run from 9:00 am -12:00 pm and cost $75 unless otherwise noted.

*Parents are responsible for drop off and pick up. A fee for late pick up will be implemented.


June 10th-14th 
FUN-damental Science
The Fun-damental Science Camp involves cool, hands-on experiments that teach basic science principles. We’ll explore bubbles, potions, light and much more. Campers will also learn about chemical reactions, famous scientists and discover the “fun” in science activities.                    

Grade: 1-3

June 17th-21st
Forces of Nature

Earthquakes, floods, fire, and extreme weather are all part of an exciting week exploring the earth! We will learn basic science principles while doing fun, hands-on activities like building and testing bridges and making our own weather instruments.

June 19th-21st

Robo Space Academy (this camp is held from 9AM to 3PM)

Young Space cadets join the Space Expeditionary Force to search out new world and explore where only robots can go! This camp is an entry level robotics program, teaching basic robotic design, programming and problem solving using Lego Mindstorm. Cadets work in pairs to overcome a variety of challenges.

June 24th-27th

Beat the heat and spend the week exploring your local watershed! Have fun learning ALL about water and life beneath the surface of streams and lakes in your community. We will spend our days collecting and studying underwater insects, testing water quality and learning about hydrology!

July 8-12th 
Cooking up Science!
This camp involves exploring basic biology, chemistry, and physics using common items from the kitchen. We’ll make rock candy, mix up some cornstarch goo, and extract iron from your morning cereal!

July 15th-19th 
Mythical Creatures and Fantastic Fantasy

This camp involves exploring potions and ancient artifacts while looking for mythical and magical creatures that have taken refuge at hidden preserves around the world. We will spend our time exploring forests, animals, potions, mythical creatures, and writing in invisible ink to keep our secrets hidden.

Grade: 4-6

Aug 5th- Aug 9th
Slimy, Gooey, Gross
We’ll explore slimy, gooey, gross science while we will conduct all kinds of icky, sticky experiments! Get ready to be playing in some slimy, yucky science fun.

Aug 12th-16th

Discover how detectives use science to uncover the mysteries of a crime. We’ll solve the case of “The Murder of Professor Half Track” using clues, and conduct our own biotechnology experiments to solve the murder mystery. We also put campers through our “Super Spy School” and teach the essentials of being a spy.

Mayan Robo-Dig (this camp is held 9AM to 3PM)

A team of Scientists has just discovered an ancient Mayan pyramid. These scientists have called on your expertise as junior robotics experts to help unlock the secrets of King Pakal’s lost tomb. This is an intermediate level robotics camp where explorers will learn to use sensors and more advanced programing, using Lego Mindstorm. Previous robot experience required.
