Junior Livestock Program

Partnering Youth with Agriculture and our Community

The 4-H  Jr. Livestock Program is for youth in grades 3-12 (FFA Program is for 9-12 grade). Working with the larger animals of this program (steers, sheep, hogs) is one of only a few 4-H Programs that does not include mini-4-H enrollment (younger than third grade) in order to provide for the safety and best interests of the participants. Enthusiastic 4-H Volunteers with expertise and interests in livestock and working with youth, help to deliver and manage the program and its objectives; all while gaining a healthy respect for our local agricultural industry.
