Julie Swindells – 4-H Volunteer Mentor Award
Julie Swindells has been in 4-H for 8 years as a leader in Salt Lake County 4-H. She has been on the Salt Lake County 4-H Leaders Council since 2002 in various positions: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Key Project Leader, Committee Chairman, etc. Wherever there is a need, she is there contributing and mentoring others in the process. Although she is currently the Personal Development and Leadership Key Project Leader, she is actively involved in science and technology projects, scholarship committee assignments, etc. Leaders can call her for information about a program; and most times, the leaders don’t even need to call her. She simply volunteers her support when she recognizes the need.

The French Family - The Family of the Year Award
The French Family has been a valuable resource to the Salt Lake County 4-H program this year. With the support of Laura and Morgan, Jim and Heath put together an amazing robotics camp this summer. The youth interest in the robotics program increased and parents of camp participants joined the 4-H volunteer team due to the awesome experience that the TRY team members delivered—thanks to Jim and Heath’s efforts.
