Dates:  June 26, 2008

Eligibility: Youth in 6-12 grades.

Team or Individual: Individual only.

Registration Deadline: June 15 2008

Description:  Youth select an outfit, model the outfit for a panel of judges, and share decisions made in selecting the outfit.  The member will consider three outfits when making their selection and demonstrate decision making skills in selecting the most suitable of the three.

Next Steps:

• County contestants in3-8 grades are invited to compete during Northern Regional Contests in June 2008.
• Selected contestants in grades 9-12 will be invited to represent Salt Lake County in State Fashion Consumer Strategies Contest.

Awards:  Each youth receives a certificate and earns a blue, red or white ribbons based on the Danish judging system:

·          Blue (excellent): 90-100

·          Red (good ): 75-89

·          White (fair): 74 and below

The 1st place Senior Division winner will receive a partial scholarship to compete in State 4-H Contests in July.
