4-H Core Training

Core Training

We want every volunteer leader to have a great 4-H Experience. It is one of our goal to make you the best volunteer leader that you can be, one way that we can help accomplish this goal is to provide volunteers with different training opportunities.

There are two core trainings that are taught throughout the year in Salt Lake County. The first core training is “Empowering 4-H Leaders,” where we focus on club structure, liability, insurance, and the focus and purpose of the new direction of 4-H. The second core training is, “Empowering the 4-H Youth,” which focuses on the important role youth play in 4-H clubs. Experiential learning styles, activities, club structure, and the new community club structure.

Core trainings are scheduled on a club basis. Register here for Core Training one and two

Core trainings are for new and experienced volunteer leaders.

We also require all volunteers to take the online training module that can be found at http://utah4h.org/htm/volunteers/get-involved/new-volunteer-training.
