Junior Teen Council

What is Junior Teen Council?

Group of teens grades 6-8 work, plan, and play together to strengthen their own personal leadership, communication and team work skills.   


What activities and events will the council be planning?
     
Monthly activities for themselves:
  • Leadership training using fun interactive activities(games), local weekend retreats, etc
  • Social events- Christmas party, hikes, BBQ, etc
  • Planning other 4-H events for other leaders and youth

Annual/semi-annual events:

  • Counselors at the Cloverbuds camp

When is Junior Teen Council?
To make it easier for as many 4-H  members as possible to attend Junior Teen Council we have two Junior Teen Councils! Northern Junior Teen Council (NJT) and Southern Junior Teen Council (SJT)

For SJT the areas includes: Herriman, Bluffdale, Draper, Sandy, South Jordan,  (West Jordan)

For  NJT the areas include: West Jordan, Midvale, Cottonwood Heights, Holiday, Murray, Taylorsville, West Valley, Salt Lake and South Salt Lake
A combined activity for these two teams will be held on a quarterly basis!
 
 Where is Southern Junior Teen Council?

SJT is held the first Thursday of the month from 4:30-6:00 pm at the Sandra N. Lloyd Community Center in room S107. The community center is located at 12830 South 1700 West, Riverton, UT
 
 Where is Northern Junior Teen Council?

NJT is held the third Thursday of the month from 4:30-6:00 pm at Entheos Academy 4710 West 6200 South, Kearns, UT.
